Changing Light Bulbs

Changing Light Bulbs

If you came home, turned on the bank of switches in your hallway and noticed none of the lights came on in the back portion of your house, would you A: Change out all the light bulbs that didn't go on, or B: Go to the breaker panel in your basement to see which fuse blew? Obviously it would be smarter to take a trip to the basement first. It makes sense to focus on the source of the problem rather than chase each individual malfunction. Likewise in your body, when you experience multiple malfunctions... back pain, heartburn, headaches, sciatica, allergies, insomnia, constipation and more - would it also make more sense to check the 'breakers' in your nerve system for the source of the problem first before medicating (change lightbulbs) each individual issue? Therein lies the difference between mainstream health care and Chiropractic. While everyone is entitled to more than on health issue or symptom, treating each one individually with drugs and surgery is really no different than changing light bulbs.  Why not check your 'electrical breakers' for a common source (subluxations)? It would seem smarter to take a trip to the Chiropractor first.   Thanks for Telling the Story... If you're a Chiropractor or CA, help your patients get the Big Idea with a fresh teaching every week! Chiropractic Surge Protection

Chiropractic Surge Protection

What happens when you plug ten appliances into one outlet and turn them all on at the same time?  You blow a circuit!  The same thing can happen when you surge an unprotected Nerve System with STRESS. Picture your Nerve System as an electrical outlet with multiple stressors plugged in.  Turn them all on at the same time and POW - you overload the system, fry a circuit and ruin your good state of health.  Chiropractors call this a SUBLUXATION.  Depending on what nerves (circuits) are blown, you could experience symptoms from minor aches and pains to more significant health problems like High Blood Pressure (Journal of Human Hypertension, 22,1: G Bakris, MD et al.) Although it's impossible to turn off all the stress in your life, you can guard against unexpected surges with regular Chiropractic Care.  Chiropractors perform their job like a surge protector - skillfully monitoring your Nerve System for overloads and ADJUSTING circuits back to normal when necessary.  When it comes to fighting stress and dis-ease, nothing beats keeping your power ON with Chiropractic!   Thanks for Telling the Story... Daylight Adjusting Time

Daylight Adjusting Time

What do Daylight Savings Time and a Chiropractic Adjustment have in common?  Both give you more LIGHT - get it!  The primary purpose of Chiropractic is to locate and correct Subluxations.  If you break the word down you get:  SUB = less, LUX = light, and ATION = a condition. Subluxation literally means a state of less 'light' or energy caused when misaligned spinal bones (especially the Atlas and Axis) restrict the flow of impulses through the nerve system.  A Chiropractic Adjustment corrects this misalignment, eases pressure off nerves and extends the time Life energy streams through you – giving you more daylight to heal yourself. When you receive an adjustment from your Chiropractor, be confident your innate healing 'light' is shining brighter and longer with every session.  Life springs forward when you're under regular Chiropractic care.   Thanks for Telling the Story... First Line of Defense

First Line of Defense

There's an old Chiropractic saying that goes... Adjustments first, drugs second, surgery last.  It's a conservative philosophy of care for those who'd rather give their body a chance to heal naturally first, before calling in the medical cavalry. When it comes to back pain, science is finally in agreement. In 2017, The American College of Physicians developed new guidelines and recommendations for noninvasive care of lower back pain. On the top of that list, before the use of NSAIDs and/or muscle relaxants, are conservative methods like heat, massage or spinal manipulation (we'd rather call it a Chiropractic Adjustment). The study also emphasizes that while pharmacological treatments are easy to prescribe, they all carry varying risks of harm. Your Chiropractor knows with the right environment (a clear, Subluxation free spine) and TIME, your body can innately recover from just about anything, including simple mechanical back pain. The next time you experience back pain, save yourself an extra step and call the Chiropractor first.  If your MD is up on his or her research, they'll recommend you do so too.
